DHMA members focus on the supply of larger and heavier components to the market. For us, it is not about supplying volumes, but about adding value to the supply chain. It is a considerably capital intensive business and the dimensions we work with are mostly gigantic. Owing to the value of the parts, the risk of failure is high. One component can consist of parts that sometimes cost as much as half a million euros each. These parts require a very long processing time, sometimes up to a few hundred hours per item and they also need to be machined to the hundredth of a millimetre. For this reason, the delivery of quality and the continual further development of our knowledge and craftsmanship is on everyone’s agenda. Specialism, knowledge and craftmanship are essential in our business to prevent failure costs. Our work therefore requires a completely different approach and working method. Nothing happens just like that or with one touch of a button. You really must know what you are doing and that is precisely what makes our business so special!
Every DHMA company is actively engaged in various product portfolios such as the shipping industry, the semi-conductor industry, the paper industry, defence, the (heavy) machining sector, the maritime sector, the energy sector, steel construction, Agro & Food sector and the medical industry. We are constantly working on the optimization of our processes so that we can serve our clients faster and more efficiently, without quality loss.
Being able to share knowledge and exchange experiences within DHMA
helps the companies enormously to become stronger as individual companies and to further their development. DHMA companies know each other’s capabilities and they all have their own specialism. Internally, however, the companies all face the same challenges, so it is nice to be able to exchange ideas with colleagues who understand what our business is about.
